Sonicrusher is a versatile compressor plugin with some extra features.
The Sonicrusher doesn't model real hardware, but it can do everything from smooth, transparent compression to extreme drum-thumping compression.
It can be operated in modern level detector mode (feedforward) for fast and harsh transient shaping, or in smoother vintage (feedback) detector mode.
It also has adjustable knee and RMS, and of course a high-pass (and even low-pass) sidechain filter. It also works in a "split" mode that compresses high frequencies individually with slightly different parameters (useful for vocals, synthesizers, etc.). Another special feature is "Crush". A bandpass or highpass filter with overdrive can also be used to breathe life into the compressed signal and be controlled by the actual compression. There is also a clipper with adjustable threshold and dry/wet mix. Automatic gain correction is also available.
