A new audio interface from MOTU called the M6 features two stereo headphone outs, an A/B monitoring switch, and four microphone inputs.
Both Windows and Mac may use the USB-C Bus powered interface. It has four of the greatest mic inputs available,
each with the same ESS Sabre32 UltraTM DAC technology and a dynamic range of almost 120 dB. Additionally, it has two separate Headphone outs powered by the same ESS technology.
Four microphone/line-level/instrument inputs are given by XLR/TRS combination connectors on the rear panel of the M6, and they are joined by two additional line-level inputs by a pair of quarter-inch TRS sockets. The four microphone inputs each have a separate, independently switchable phantom power source. Four extra quarter-inch TRS connections provide four line-level outputs, and there is also one MIDI in/out port available.
A/B monitor switching is also available on the M6. Push a button to instantly verify your mixes on each pair of connected monitors.
With the purchase of an M6, a software package containing MOTU Performer Lite, Ableton Live Lite, more than 100 virtual instruments, and 6GB of loops and sample packs is included.
