Linda Audio releases SuperCrunch - great sounding and simple guitar amp plug-in. Although SuperCrunch does not model real hardware, it can reproduce the very natural sound of classic tube amps. Its bandwidth ranges from sparkling clean sounds to soft and not-so-soft crunch tones to wild rock and metal distortion. It has controls for input and output gain, drive gain, and brightness, with two channels to choose from: crunch and lead. You can also fade in the clean signal. A very important part of this amplifier is the 8-band graphic equalizer.
This is activated before the tube stage and allows for very wide shaping of the distortion character. Gain compensation is also possible. There are also cabinet simulations consisting of two in-phase impulse responses that can be switched off and faded over continuously. Finally, gates with adjustable thresholds are also available.
